About Me

I am a licensed clinical psychologist, and I work with individuals, couples, and groups in my private practice in New Canaan, Connecticut. I studied psychology as an undergraduate at Princeton University, where I graduated magna cum laude and was elected to the Phi Beta Kappa Society. Prior to attending graduate school, I worked for a management consulting firm specializing in financial services. I received my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Columbia University. I completed my clinical internship at St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital Center in New York City and my postdoctoral fellowship in Counseling and Psychological Services at Princeton University.

"Happiness lies at the intersection between pleasure and meaning,"

Tal Ben-Shahar

Finding and engaging in pleasant meaningful activities is not always easy, particularly for individuals whose focus on hard work and achievement has been a driving and highly-rewarded force. Further, I believe people can leverage intelligence and perfectionism towards achievement, and towards the rumination underlying feelings of anxiety and depression.

I help people prioritize self-care, decrease stress, and become more effective in personal and professional relationships. I draw upon extensive psychodynamic and cognitive-behavioral training and my approach is collaborative, and supports individuals’ strengths and targets their particular goals. I believe that talking in a safe space with an empathic listener can reduce shame, anxiety, sadness, and isolation.
